About a week or so ago, a friend of Scott's had passed along a link from youtube about a John Williams tribute -- one guy, four part, a cappella - see here. It's an amazing video -- great vocals!
Once Chris started watching this (and he watched it about a hundred times!!!), he has been asking about the movie E.T. I got the movie and tonight we ordered a pizza and decided to watch it.
Chris LOVED it -- for a movie from 1982, it actually really held up fairly well. The styles were out of date, but it held both of our attention for the entire 2 hours. Chris laughed, he cried when he thought E.T. was going to die, and he stood up and cheered when the kids saved the day at the end. This was probably one of my favorite moments with Chris in his short 6 1/2 years -- absolutely amazing watching him, watch a movie from my youth. (of course it got me thinking, but I don't think he's ready for Wizard of Oz yet - those flying monkeys still get Scott!!)
Anyway - if you haven't seen E.T. for 25 years like I hadn't, it's time!! Watch it with your kids!!
