We were able to raise $2,810 for the MHDSA and we were met by some friends that morning to walk around one of our beautiful parks/lakes. All started out great that day, good friends, good fun, and a chance to raise money to help families just like ours - it's a great day for all!! Thank you to EVERYONE who came to walk or donated to our team - I appreciate it more than you know!! (The Thank You notes are "almost" done, so hopefully y'all will receive them this week)
A little over halfway around the lake, Libby fell off of Scott's shoulders - Scott was the hero and held onto her for most of the way down, but she did fall about 2 feet to the sidewalk - certainly much better than the 6+ feet she would have. We took one look and knew we had to take her in for stitches. Lucky for me, neither one of my kids bleed profusely from their heads - not sure where that gene came from, but I like that one!!!
5 stitches later, we were on our way home - Libby had actually fallen asleep while they were stitching her up, so I know she wasn't feeling a thing!! She had some pretty good road rash next to her eye, but with a cute Hello Kitty bandaid, she looked adorable.
The bad news of this update is that her school pictures were that next Tuesday, so we'll have probably one of the cutest scabby pictures ever!!!

WOW what an eventful day!!! Sorry to hear she fell, but I'm SO glad it was only 2 feet instead of 6! WTG dad! :) I'm glad the stitches didn't hurt her. I've never had them before but the whole thought of someone sowing my skin makes me cringe!
Oh man! I hope her little face heals up really quickly and doesn't leave a scar! Thank God he guided her down though! :( Hi BTW, long time no talk!
I love the pictures of your family with Rupert!! lol
Geeze, my husband wants me to apologize for calling your husband Rupert! Why, I don't know, I loved Rupert and his tye dye shirts!
Hi - it's Tom from downsyn.
Your poor little girl! But she looked so brave at the hospital. And be sure to post that school picture!!! ;)
