We've had such a string of "bad" things happen to us lately, that today, we have had a few bits of good news.
First of all, Libby's 3 week bout with diarrhea is now over -- she was tested for a lot of things since we went swimming in the Hot Springs over our vacation, but all is well with her.
Secondly, we should hear about our van tomorrow. It's taken over 3 weeks to get an answer on whether or not it will be totalled from that horrendous car wreck and we should know more tomorrow (keep those fingers crossed that we can just go get a new van instead of fixing this crushed up one). Unfortunately, because we bought a new 2007, we will still be out $$$ since we'll have to go and buy a new 2008 now for more $$$$, plus we will lose about $1500 in value from our purchase price, just because of the model year. That's better though than trying to fix it and always having the accident associated with the car and possibly have issues with it, but when we would want to trade it in, it would be worth much less because of the accident.
Thirdly, I love United -- I booked Scott's flight to Oslo, Norway and was trying to figure out the upgrades, which kind of just disappeared. So, I called the customer service and got the most wonderful, helpful person that got Scott set in the "upper deck" of the plane on a seat that will turn into a flat bed. Yeah!!!
Fourth, took Chris into the Allergist and even though we had that allergic reaction in South Dakota, he agreed with me that the fact that he ingested so much of the pecans, but didn't ever have his throat and tongue swell up is a GREAT thing.
Finally, my husband is home -- might only be for 2 days, but it's nice to have him here and the kids won't let go of him!!!
It's a good day in Colorado!!
