Scott travels a lot - I mean A LOT! He writes books, trains and speaks the world of Java for a living.
Back in May, he was asked to speak at a conference called Java One - it is THE Java conference of the year.
He not only got the highest rating of the conference (rated by the attendees), but he got the highest rating of the conference EVER - I couldn't be more proud.
Once the conference is over, Java One will then nominate certain speakers to be part of their Rock Stars - Scott was inducted as a Java One Rock Star:

I am totally cracking up right now... I came across your blog this evening and it perked my curiosity...because my husband is in the coffee industry and speaks at various coffee conferences around the U.S....so when I saw your post on the Java One conference I thought, "How come I have never heard of this conference???" Then I followed the link and realized...Ummm, wrong kind of Java!!! :) And then started cracking up because he and I are so computer illiterate they would never let us step foot in that conference...they'd make us sit outside with our cup of coffee! :) :)
