We're leaving on vacation in a couple of days and I have more lists than ever. A list of errands that have to get done before we leave (only remaining is the grocery store and to gas the van before we leave). A grocery list, an equipment list to take, a clothes list for each of us, a food list of things to take, a list of things not to forget (which will go from that list to an appropriate list when I know where they go). It's crazy.
But, this is how I function best -- I feel in control of the trip, and actually fairly calm.
We'll head to Omaha for Scott's and my 20 year High School reunion this coming weekend -- I'm actually pretty excited to go back for this. We'll spend a day after the reunions seeing both sides of the family and then we'll leave for the "All American" family vacation to Mount Rushmore. We'll do and see everything we can in the Black Hills -- Scott and I have such the same way to vacation -- we have a hotel reservation and a list of things we would like to do/see and we'll head to whatever we want, whenever we want to. After about 4-5 days around Keystone, SD, we'll head across the state to Yankton, SD where we'll meet up with my Mom's side of the family for the big annual Family Reunion. It's been 15-20 years since I've seen some of these people, so that will be a pretty big event. Then the long drive home. Hopefully the kids will do well in the car.
Just remembered that I need to put Libby's cooling vest and extra ice packs on the list (as well as a small cooler and additional ice packs to keep the "extra" ice packs as frozen as possible). This is how my crazy mind works!!!
The new Odyssey will get it's maiden trip voyage -- I'm excited to travel in it -- I'm sure I will be so happy we bought it at the end of our 10 days!!!
More soon!

Hope you have an awesome and safe trip. We are hoping one year to get the girls to Mt. Rushmore. :)
Have a great time. I haven't been to Rushmore since high school (haven't been to Co since high school either, though, lol). Hope to see you in a week or so!
